The first thing you need to know about BitDrom is that it is Java-based. This means it will work on any machine that has Java on it. And since Java is available for multiple platforms, it means that BitDrom will also work on multiple platforms. The second thing you need to know is that BitDrom is a BitTorrent client. This means you can use it to download torrents quickly and smoothly.

A simple setup wizard will help you install BitDrom on your Windows-powered machine. Pay attention though as you click through the wizard because it will want to install some additional software on your PC.

The panel from the left hand side of the application’s interface lists the following:
Getting started – a custom Google search box.
Library Downloading – all torrents that are currently being downloaded.
Library Latest Downloads – the latest completed torrent downloads.
BitDrop Radio – easy access to multiple online radio stations.
Subscriptions – lists all your torrent subscriptions.

From a functionality point of view, BitDrom has a lot to offer: open torrent files, create a new torrent, download multiple torrents at the same time, start/stop/pause transfers, set transfer limits, embedded tracker, use a proxy, IP filters, statistics, three different user proficiency modes, and more.

BitDrom is released under a GNU General Public License.

Easily and quickly download torrents off the web and onto your PC with BitDrom, a Java-based BitTorrent client.

Pros

Downloading and installing BitDrom will not take much of your time and will not take much effort. BitDrom is a Java-based application; it will run on any machine that has Java on it. There are three proficiency modes to choose from. There is nothing complicated about the interface. BitDrom offers all the functionality you would expect from a BitTorrent client. There’s even access to multiple online radio stations.

Cons

The setup wizard wants to install some additional software on your machine.
